K'gari Island
We’ve been to Fraser Island quite a few times now, and it still wows us every single time. It’s just one of those places that never gets old—massive, wild, and absolutely stunning. From crystal-clear lakes to epic beach drives, there’s always something new to explore.
Some of our fave things to do on Fraser:
Drive along 75 Mile Beach (yes, it’s also the highway!)
Swim in the stunning Lake McKenzie - going earlier in the morning is less busy
Float down Eli Creek - make sure you take floaties and float down the stream.
Visit the Maheno Shipwreck
Spot dingoes (from a distance!)
Check out the views from Indian Head
Take a dip in the Champagne Pools
Explore the rainforest at Central Station
Watch the sunrise or sunset from the beach – magic!
visit the lighthouse
Have lunch at sandy cape
We have camped at a few spots on K’gari , but also stayed at Kingfisher Bay Resort and Eurong Beach Resort. Eurong’s definitely our fave—it's not super flashy, but the location is spot on. Right on the beach, and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. After a day of exploring, it’s pretty nice to come back to a hot shower, a swim in the pool, or dinner and a game of pool at the resort.
No matter how many times we go, Fraser always has more to show us.
