Hervey Bay
There are plenty of places to stay in Hervey Bay and we chose the Pier Caravan Park mainly because it was dog friendly and within walking distance to both the historic Urangan Pier and the main esplanade. It was a great base for exploring the area and enjoying everything the bay has to offer.
Things to do in Hervey Bay
Visit the local free water park – a fun way to keep the kids entertained and cool off on a warm day.
Walk the nearly 1km-long Urangan Pier and soak up the beautiful coastal views.
Go for a swim in the calm, clear ocean waters.
Stop by a local café for a coffee and a treat – plenty of options along the esplanade.
Nate and the kids loved skating and scootering at the nearby skate park while I relaxed and enjoyed the sea breeze and ocean views.
It’s a laid-back destination that makes it easy to unwind, explore, and spend quality time together.
